As Vice President of Channel Relations, Aurora Bacquerie leads all efforts in establishing and managing network relations, as well as playing a critical role in the development and strategy of Olympusat’s networks and products in the U.S. and Latin America. Aurora has over 16 years of international experience in the areas of business development, strategic planning, international negotiation and construction consulting.
Prior to joining Olympusat, Ms. Bacquerie was employed by Blue Stone Management in where she led the firm in executing its international expansion while engaging property owners, developers and global retailers including Shin Kong Place, Apple, XpresSpa, Paradies, MTR, DFS through Asia-Pacific and the United States. As a Director, she was responsible for developing business opportunities in Asia and the Americas as well as representing the firm as part of volunteer leadership committees in trade associations such as the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Before joining Blue Stone, Ms. Bacquerie worked as a Director for Altus Group Latin America developing business opportunities in valuation, portfolio management and development consulting services throughout Latin America. She served as spokesman and information source for the firm internationally.
As SVP of Olympusat’s owned and operated channels, Arturo Chavez’ key responsibilities include day-to-day management of the company’s 14 different Hispanic owned and operated networks, which include: Cine Mexicano, ¡Sorpresa!, Gran Cine, Ultra Mex, Ultra Cine, Ultra Clasico, Ultra Movies, Ultra Docu, Ultra Kidz, Ultra Tainment, Ultra Luna, Ultra Macho, Ultra Fiesta, Cine Clasico. He is responsible for overseeing all acquiring content for all the networks.
With over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. He is widely recognized and considered one of the most knowledgeable experts of Spanish-language films in the U.S. market. Prior to this, he was Director of the Latino Division for Lionsgate where he was responsible for the division’s product development, product management, and release schedule planning. He played an instrumental role in Lionsgate’s assessment, qualification, and acquisition of all product lines and a significant role in the development of the company’s overall Latino category. He is a graduate from University of Aguascalientes in Mexico, and holds a B.A. in Business Development and Administration.
As Vice President of Original Productions, Yeshuah Castillo oversees the development of all original scripted and non-scripted productions at Olympusat, including series and films. Yeshuah also implements the latest strategies in production workflows and negotiates all co-production deals for original content.
Before his promotion to VP, Yeshuah was the Director of Business Development at Olympusat, working with clients such as Palm Beach County, Palm Beach Opera and the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County. Yeshuah’s previous production experience includes his collaboration with Univision as part of the production team for Escandalo TV.
Zucchella is a TV and Film industry veteran, with over 17 years of experience in television, programming acquisitions, business development and distribution.
In addition to licensing movies, series, and all entertainment and woman-oriented content, she’s developed strategic analysis for upcoming acquisitions, as well as acquisitions’ protocol and procedures.
Her efforts spearheaded the development and launch of Olympusat’s first and highest rated Latino network in the US: Cine Mexicano. She has personally licensed most of its content. She oversaw the launch of TOKU and Middle East channels; including the development of Asia and Israel’s network opportunities. She has Executive Produced over 75 films, and secured TV and DVD distribution agreements with major film studios. Prior to joining Olympusat, Ms. Zucchella has managed the launch of Rupert Murdoch’s Sky Satellite System in Argentina.
Maria Luz Zucchella graduated with a law degree specializing in Telecommunications; along with a post-graduate degree in Business Management. She’s fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
As Vice President of Parables, Isaac Hernandez is responsible for the acquisition of high definition content for the first-ever Christian 24/7 HD movie network in the world. Prior to this, Isaac was a Programming Executive for the Trinity Broadcasting Network, which, according to the FCC, is the world's largest broadcast group. His responsibilities included the acquisition and scheduling of movies for the network as well as overseeing the relationships with filmmakers and motion picture distributors.
For over 25 years, Isaac directed many of the programs produced by The Trinity Broadcasting Network including their live flagship show Praise The Lord. Isaac was also the director for PAXtv's live flagship program Great Day America, when PAXtv first launched. Isaac has over 30 years of experience in the Christian broadcasting industry.
Maria Gómez has over 25 years of domestic and international experience in affiliate relations, network management and new business development in the Communications/Satellite and Faith Network Industries.
As Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Mr. Lopez leads and oversees multiple facets of marketing initiatives covering fields as affiliate, digital, social, product, international, public relations and industry events, as well as business to business projects, consumer and brand strategies.
Carlos Lopez has over 25 years of Marketing and Product Management experience over a wide spectrum of public and private entities in the U.S. and Latin America, working on the agency and client side for brands such as AT&T, Bank of America, Geico Insurance, the Department of Commerce, DHL, U.S. Postal Service, among others. Mr. Lopez has written several articles on the media and communications industries and his work has been recognized with several national and international awards.
With over 28 years of experience in television, having worked successfully in areas of production and senior management and multiple awards recognizing his contributions to media in his native Puerto Rico, Víctor has worked in the private and public sector where his impeccable track record of sales, original content production and maximization of resources speaks for itself.
Victor joins the Olympusat family as the VP of Content where he will oversee the development and operations of all Olympusat products as well as original productions.
After a successful thirteen-year career with Olympusat, Christian Bieler was appointed General Manager of Spanish Programming, overseeing all aspects of Olympusat's Spanish-language channels. Christian is responsible for the overall success of the networks with full accountability for content, sales and operations, while managing day-to-day relationships with programming providers, as well as articulating and executing strategic programming plans.
In addition, Christian designs and delivers programming that drives ratings and revenue growth strategies to maximize profit opportunities with the core business and new media.
Christian holds a B.A. degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the Universidad Autónoma de Occidente in Cali, Colombia.
Fernando Vargas is the General Manager of Olympusat’s México City office, where he oversees a division of more than 45 employees dedicated to film restoration and dubbing services.
Fernando’s responsibility is to carry on and follow through on the transformation of Spanish-language movies that are still in the traditional 16 and 35 nitate format via the technical processes of film restoration. These reels are then transformed into High Definition 2K formats. This has provided Olympusat with a numerous and diverse array of Spanish speaking movies from the “Golden Age” of Mexican cinema.
In addition, Fernando also manages the dubbing of movies, soap operas and documentaries into Spanish. This was an assignment given to Fernando by the company’s CEO, and has been a great success, thanks to the effort and hard work of the dedicated Mexico City team.
Fernando Vargas is a graduate from Full Sail University in Cinematographic Production. He also has a degree in Communication Sciences/Journalism from the San Antonio Abad del Cusco University in Perú. He is also an active member of the National Journalists Association in Perú, the ANP.
Adriana is responsible for overseeing all operational functions of Parables. Ms. Herran brings a fresh new perspective and vision, transforming and modernizing the foundation and structure of the network. She is strategic in the development, implementation, and execution of Parables goals and expectations. Thus, aligning her management capabilities to the profitability and growth of Parables. Adriana analyzes and reviews cost effective activities, budgets, and forecast data to determine the progress towards stated goals, along with implementing of business strategic planning, including sales, product development, product penetration, marketing strategy, content strategy, and market growth. Adriana's ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as well as monitoring multiple projects from start to completion, brings a great contribution to the company. She foresees new goals to improve existing standards and to optimize the overall performance of Parables Television.
Adriana is experienced in the Faith-Media industry, working with various Christian Networks, ministries and church leaders. She is passionate of her role in the industry and strongly believes in making a positive impact in people's lives through her work. Ms. Herran received her Bachelor degree in Business Administration and Management from Northwood University. She continues to further her education and is attending the University of California, Irvine. She enjoys exercising, playing tennis, reading, watching movies and spending time with her precious young son.
Print and broadcast entertainment journalism have allowed Jesús Oswaldo Piñango to integrate himself into the Hispanic TV content field from the start of his professional career. Understanding the Spanish- speaking audience’s interest for engaging and relevant news led Jesus to serve as TV Producer and Reporter covering and introducing multicultural content from Europe and the States through Latin-American. As Director of TV Content Strategy, he directs and coordinates activities of networks content and provide a constructive analysis, delivering valuables insights, captivating perspective, and a spot-on description to make the concept pitch-perfect.
Juan Bruno is the Director of New Programming Acquisitions & Contracts for Olympusat’s Spanish-language Networks.
Prior to this, Juan held the position of Operations Manager and was involved in the day-to-day operations of new content and contract management for all Spanish-language networks.
In addition, he has supported other areas in the company, primarily the Legal and Accounting departments.
He joined Olympusat in 2007 and has since been directly involved with all network operations, including programming & scheduling for Olympusat’s top networks, Cine Mexicano and Gran Cine.

Moises Sananes is the Director of On-Air Promotions and Spanish-language Networks, and is in charge of directing and monitoring Olympusat’s Spanish-language owned and operated channels to ensure they run properly. He is also responsible for the ideation, production and placement of on-air promotions for Olympusat’s networks, which includes campaigns and programming stunts.
Moises has over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry including newspapers, magazines, radio, movies and television.
Over the past 12 years, Moises has helped launched networks in the U.S. such as Cine Mexicano, Gran Cine, Tele N, Cuba Play, Sorpresa, Cine Clásico, DAMAS TV, Aplauso TV and Televen América.
Moises is a graduate from Universidad Central de Venezuela where he obtained a B.A. in Journalism. He also received a Master's Degree in Broadcasting and Communications from Barry University in Florida.
In 2003, Moises published the book “The Speech of the Israelite World,” a 300-page research piece on the Jewish immigration to Latin America after the Holocaust.
Manuel “Manny” Saldivar has been working for Olympusat as an Acquisitions Executive for Cine Mexicano since 2014. He acquires a diverse library of new films for Cine Mexicano and works with Joshua Castillo on original productions. Along with his duties of acquisitions, Manny is involved in obtaining interviews from actors, singers and comedians that are very familiar to the Cine Mexicano audience.
Prior to working for Olympusat, Manny Saldivar was an agent for independent Mexican producers based in the United States and Mexico, in which he represented over 90 films during his 9-year agent career. Manny has produced 12 feature films for the U.S. Latino market and produced television shows like K.H.W.Y. on Channel 22 for Los Angeles Latino market. From 2003 to 2007, Manny Saldivar was head of Latino Acquisitions for Vanguard Cinema, acquiring films for home video in the U.S.
Manny was the co-founder and programmer of the Orange County Latino Film festival, in Orange County, California from 2004-2006, working with established Latin American directors, producers and distributors. He graduated from East Los Angeles College with an associate’s degree before heading to U.C.L.A.
In his free time Manuel “Manny” Saldivar enjoys watching movies, surfing, listening to Banda Music, and he’s an umpire for Little League Baseball in San Diego.
Peter Savov is the Senior Vice President of Technology for Olympusat and Ocean Communications. He joined Olympusat in 2007 and has played a key role in facilitating the company’s growth. He started his career with the Executive Agency Maritime Administration to Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Republic of Bulgaria. As Senior Surveyor, he created charts and 3D graphics of the waterways to allow passage of large ocean-going vessels.
In the U.S. he has specialized in Digital TV Broadcast, OTT, OVP video delivery, IP Video delivery, Network Infrastructure, System Administration, Software and Hardware support. He received his education at Varna Technology University, Bulgaria and later his Computer Science Degree from FMU (Summa Cum Laude). In 1999, he was accepted as a member of MENSA Bulgaria, affiliate of MENSA International.
As EVP and General Counsel, Colleen heads up the legal department for Olympusat Holdings. Prior to this, Colleen spearheaded Olympusat’s distribution efforts for the Spanish-language networks, Faith & Families and Digital services.
Prior to her time with Olympusat, Colleen was at Lifetime Television as VP of Affiliate Relations and Marketing where she was responsible for negotiating distribution agreements with the industry’s leading cable operators and overseeing the sales, marketing and revenue generation for a 21-state region. Colleen’s prior cable experience includes positions with The Disney Channel as a Senior Account Executive and with the now defunct Noncable Resources as Director of Field Marketing.
Valerie Ford is the Vice President of Human Resources for Olympusat. She is an accomplished HR professional with over 17 years of experience in Human Resources Management and is responsible for directing, planning and implementing all Human Resources functions including, but not limited to, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, training & development, rewards & recognition, worker’s compensation, unemployment and organizational development.
Prior to joining Olympusat, Ms. Ford served as Talent Acquisition Business Partner at One Blood (a non-profit innovative blood center) where she played a key role in the HR integration team to establish a new consolidated HR department. During her tenure, she partnered with leadership and department managers to establish the company’s competency model and behavioral profiles for various positions to be more effective in performance management and hiring practices. Prior to One Blood, Ms. Ford spent several years delivering consulting and outsourced human resources services from small to mid-sized businesses.
Ms. Ford holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (B.B.A) with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Strayer University. She’s a certified Predictive Index Analyst and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Xi Pi Omega Chapter.
Phil Merino is the Controller for Olympusat. He is a highly motivated and experienced Financial Management Executive with over 25 years of experience with a wide range of roles and responsibilities in several industries.
Phil began a career in accounting with a small CPA firm in Chicago where he performed audit and tax work for local small and medium enterprises. He was then recruited to work as a Foreign Service Officer with the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Office of the Inspector General. While based in the US Embassy/Germany, he traveled extensively to Central and Eastern Europe to audit foreign assistance programs targeted to establish free market economics in the region. Among the more interesting projects Phil worked on were the Russian Voucher Privatization Program; establishment of the Moscow Stock Exchange; labor re-training in Poland; land redistribution in Bulgaria; defense conversion in the Czech Republic; agricultural assistance in Ukraine; citizenship initiatives in Estonia; and micro-funding in Romania. Phil completed his tenure at USAID by working as the Deputy Controller for USAID’s Poland office where he was a U.S. Treasury Accredited Certifying Officer. Phil spent the next seven years working in Poland as the Chief Financial Officer for Financial Services Limited, the back office of Poland’s largest mutual fund; Business Point, a private equity backed outsource service provider carved out from Financial Services Limited; and BCH Communications, a strategically funded VoIP network service provider.
After ten years of living in Europe, Phil retuned to the USA to work for Ernst & Young’s Latin America Center of Excellence in Miami where he provided business advisory services to the Latin American based subsidiaries of US publicly traded companies such as Xerox, Honeywell, General Mills, Discovery Latin America, Occidental Petroleum, Coleman, and many others. After a brief stop at KPMG, Phil joined Teleperformance, the world’s largest and most successful Business Process Outsource (BPO) service provider as Audit Director where he was responsible for the internal controls for subsidiaries in North, Central and South America, as well as Asia and Australia. After more than ten years of continuous and extensive intercontinental travel, Phil took on the role of Project Controller for Dragados USA, the prime (lead) contractor for the $1.8 billion I-595/SR84 project in Broward county, Florida where he was responsible for all financial matters. More recently, Phil worked as a consultant for local companies in south Florida and on projects in Mexico and Costa Rica for RSM (formerly McGladrey). Prior to joining Olympusat, Phil was Senior Controller for Queens Fort Capital.
After honorably serving in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne Division, Phil graduated from Southern Illinois University with a BS in Accounting and earned his CPA in 1989. He completed an MBA from Golden Gate University in 2007. Phil enjoys all types of fishing, tying fishing flies, and playing the guitar.
Amanda Miller is SVP of customer and affiliate relationships for Ocean communications. In this role she oversees all transactions and provides a holistic plan for network distribution, negotiation, advocacy, end to end content delivery, origination & promotion.
Amanda began her media career in 1999, joining Olympusat in 2016. She spent over 15 years at Time Warner Cable/Charter in the direct response space where she negotiated with networks for carriage and tune-in advertising campaigns. She created the first nationwide marketplace network to be distributed full footprint by a major cable operator, allowing several types of paid content providers to be aggregated into one space. She was also instrumental in centralizing all long form advertising under a corporate umbrella, driving up value and streamlining operations and processes across all divisions. At the earliest part of her career she has written, produced and distributed several long form – infotainment and magazine style television shows.
Tom Mohler is the CEO of Olympusat Holdings, which includes its owned-and-operated companies: Ocean Communications, Olympusat, Inc., Olympusat Telecom, Olympusat Entertainment, Ocean Distribution, Ocean New Media, Hatch Entertainment, Magicorp and Road 8 Entertainment.
Founded by Tom nearly 20 years ago, Olympusat has established itself as a leader in the Hispanic television and media space, owning and exclusively distributing over 70 television networks. Olympusat is also the only company in the world to roll out a suite of 20 HD Spanish-language television networks. Chuck Mohler is a nineteen-year veteran of Ocean Communications and Olympusat, and has been a part of the leadership team responsible for the growth of the companies, focusing on execution of key initiatives for distribution and communications solutions for Olympusat’s networks, as well as Ocean’s client networks. In his current role, he is responsible for the ongoing operations of the company, as well as the successful execution and implementation of new initiatives at Olympusat. Chuck joined the company in 1998 and became a member of the Board of Directors for Olympusat in 2000. Prior to joining Ocean Communications and Olympusat, he worked for U.S. Representative John Boehner (OH-8), both in Ohio and on Capitol Hill.
In his role, Mr. Allieri is responsible for all revenue generating activities, including the strategic and tactical direction of the company’s Marketing and Sales efforts. Mr. Allieri has enjoyed a highly-successful career in businesses ranging in size from $5M to $1.5B, with over 25 years of experience in driving business performance, enhancing corporate value and delivering superior returns on investment.
Most recently at Comcast, he served as Regional Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Western New England. Two years in a row, the region was ranked among the top two in the country, winning Region of the Year in 2014. Prior to joining Comcast, Mr. Allieri was the President of VIPERTEX, where he oversaw the development and market introduction of an innovative product that was granted a patent.
Throughout his career, he held various leadership positions in the Media and Communications industry, including Chief Strategy Officer at FairPoint Communications, President at ONE Communications, Chief Executive Officer at CTC Communications, and Senior Vice President of Local Services and Head of Investor Relations at MCI Communications. Additionally, Ray Allieri has served on the Board of Directors of three nonprofit organizations. A Boston native, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from University of Pennsylvania.
As Chief Financial Officer for Olympusat since 2008, Chris Williams oversees accounting, finance and human resources. Chris joined Olympusat from Rayonier, a forest products company where he primarily focused on quarterly earnings releases, Board of Directors reporting, and SEC reporting. He has held Controller positions with Roush Racing, a multi-team NASCAR racing organization, and Healthlink, a healthcare IT consulting firm. During his tenure at Healthlink, the company experienced rapid internal growth fueled by a venture capital raise and a significant strategic merger, later leading to the acquisition of the company by IBM. Chris began his career as a Financial Analyst within the mutual funds group of Bank of America and was a CPA in North Carolina. His undergraduate degree is from Georgia Tech and he has an MBA from Florida State University.
Bob Higley is the CEO of Olympusat’s Upliftv network, a unique faith and family network that features inspirational movies, documentaries and ministry programs. He describes the network as the new paradigm in Christian television. He points out that most faith channels primarily feature sermons and teaching programs. However, Upliftv features more movies and documentaries than some of the other religious channels. Upliftv is filling a void by providing faith-based films and programs spanning a variety of genres that are so desperately needed for today’s savvy viewers. Upliftv is one of the fastest growing new faith channels, gaining 24 million cable and satellite households in its first 24 months, including America’s premier service, DirecTV.
Bob has a thorough knowledge of the cable and broadcast industry and is keenly aware of the many changes that are on the horizon that will drastically alter the way most people view their favorite TV programs. He is preparing for the dramatic changes coming to television and recognizes the many opportunities available to those media organizations that strategically plan ahead. As a television industry veteran, Bob has 35 years of experience ranging from directing television programs, managing TV Stations to acquiring distribution in millions of homes. As Vice President of Cable for Trinity Broadcasting Network, Bob and his affiliate team grew distribution of TBN from 12 million households to over 100 million homes on over 8,000 cable systems. He launched four other TV networks, gaining millions of cable and satellite households for the Church Channel, JUCE, Smile of a Child and Enlace.
John Baghdassarian is a cable industry veteran with over 20 years of experience. In his new role, John serves as a key member of the acquisition and licensing team. His main goal is to work closely with content producers, broadcasters and distributors from Germany, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. John’s goal is to acquire top-notch content and support Olympusat’s strategy to put together multicultural content that embraces different genres and filmmaking styles in order to offer unrivaled programming from all over the world on Olympusat's owned-and-operated channels and VEMOX™. Prior to his new role, John served as Olympusat’s Vice President of Distribution, overseeing the distribution of the company’s owned-and-operated channels on linear and digital platforms.
Previously, John worked at AMC Networks, including AMC, WE and IFC. Prior to AMC Networks, John worked for Showtime Networks, Viacom/Comedy Central, as well as Scripps Networks’ Food Network. John received a BA from UCLA, an MBA from Pepperdine University and is an Alumnus of CTAM’s Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School.
As Vice President of Technical Operations, Eric is the company’s leading technical liaison between the Olympusat offices in West Palm Beach and our partner Uplink/Downlink facilities. Eric is Olympusat’s main conduit with industry technicians from around the world and handles all incoming technical inquiries involving our satellite services.
He also works closely with our 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) for Olympusat’s affiliate operators, including offering technical recommendations, handling all crisis management issues related to our satellite technical operations.
Prior to Olympusat, Eric worked for Comcast Communications for 10 years in several areas within head-end operations including Advertising Sales Engineering, Video Production and Field Operations. In addition to critical field experience, Eric’s industry training includes Motorola/General Instruments’ DigiCipher II Uplink Training, ITT Technical Institute, completion of Video Production Training from the National Cable Television Institute and SeaChange International Engineering Training.
Shawn Copenhaver is the VP of Creative Services and Post Production. In Addition to overseeing the Creative Services Department, Shawn Copenhaver will oversee all aspects of the Post-Production workflow on all of Olympusat Original Productions and work with Yeshua Castillo, VP of Original Productions, on each production to review and define the production and post-production guidelines.
Also, the VP of Creative Services and Post-Production will act as liaison to problem-solve creative challenges tied to delivery of content for a multitude of projects, platforms, and networks. Prior to Olympusat, Shawn spent over four years with Palm Beach County’s Solid Waste Authority as a cameraman, editor and director for the award-winning show, eTV (Environmental Television). He was also a part of production teams throughout the environmental industry, which have consistently won Emmy, Telly, Aurora and Addy Awards.
Prior to eTV, Shawn spent four years in cable production with Comcast, Baltimore and Adelphia, West Palm Beach shooting, editing, and managing digital commercial insertion of local cable television advertising. Shawn is a television production graduate of The Broadcasting Institute of Maryland. He is currently writing, producing and directing original movies and series for Olympusat’s multiple Spanish-language networks.
Dean Broadhurst has over 20+ years of experience in both the U.S. and Latin American markets. In his role, Broadhurst oversees Programming, Traffic and the Network Operations Center for Olympusat. His team originates Olympusat’s linear channels and implements the company’s VOD and SVOD platforms.
As Senior Director of Software Architecture, Kyle Kanouse manages Olympusat's team of highly skilled developers, while coordinating overall system architecture and design. He is responsible for the company's software development, as well as the cutting edge infrastructure needed to support these systems. Kyle brings over nine years of development experience in the fast-paced, dynamic and agile environments of start-up companies to Olympusat's large enterprise systems. He specializes in solutions architecture using cloud technologies, continuously improving and updating Olympusat's digital infrastructure, as well as managing the development of various digital products and services.
Kyle graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Florida and attended the esteemed University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in Manchester England.
