Her beloved mother, however, is now aged, ill and on the verge of passing. Did the visa come too little, too late?

Previously bedridden and totally dependent on others, these amazing people can now use these implants to control their bodies via nonverbal and/or mental commands. The filmmaker visualizes a day when it will be commonplace to see people with one, two or many implants living productively in society as what can be called “cyborgs,” or half human, half machine.
